✍️ Private art lessons and/or tutoring for tweens & teens

To simplify scheduling, payments, and communication, I currently take all tutoring and lessons requests through Wyzant, OutSchool, or at 'Stache Studio. Depending on the topic, student, and your needs, we can schedule online or discuss in-person sessions.

• Visual Arts Teacher 

  • 5 years :: July 2020 - June 2025

  • Certified Georgia educator for grades PK-12 in Art.

  • Lead middle & high school classes covering drawing, painting, graphic design, printmaking, 3D forms, and AP Art & Design.

  • Completed the US Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs' STEM Innovations and Global Competence course.

  • Attended 2024 College Board AP (Advanced Placement) Institute for Art & Design at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) Atlanta

• Teen services library staff & general library staff services

  • 6+ years :: October 2013 - July 2020; July 2025 - present

  • Planned & ran activities and events for teenagers and middle schoolers.

  • Assisted with children's events (toddlers, preschoolers, elementary schoolers) as needed.

• Creative coach at "paint and sip" & pottery studio

  • 3+ years :: October 2016 - July 2020

  • Helping people create art (primarily glazing pottery and acrylic painting), no matter what their age, experience, or skills.

  • Instructed group painting classes and parties.

  • Hosted "Paint Me a Story" combination story time, craft creation, and sensory activity time for toddler and preschool age children.

To prevent any conflict of interest, I cannot offer the services I describe here during the time I am working at the library. I want library patrons to feel assured that I am providing them as much information and attention during regular day-to-day interactions as possible, and that I am not attempting to use that time to solicit additional clients/income. Please use the methods outlined above to contact me regarding tutoring, lessons, or private parties. When I am working at the library, I need to keep my energy focused on completing the work I am assigned there.

I am happy to provide recommendations for resources patrons can use for self-study and study tactics for free through their local libraries during lessons AND at the library.
